Microsoft is making a strong push to attract new gamers with help from the highly anticipated Titanfall.
The company on Monday announced that starting March 11, it will sell an Xbox One Titanfall Special Edition Bundle for $499. According to Microsoft's Larry Hryb (better known as "Major Nelson"), the offering will only be available in "limited quantities."
the bundle includes the Xbox One and Kinect, along with a single wireless controller and chat headset. However, unlike many bundles, which include a physical copy of the game, the Titanfall bundle will include a download code for a digital copy. It'll also feature a one-month Xbox Live Gold membership. That it's offering Titanfall digitally is likely how Microsoft is able to keep the bundle's price the same as its standard console selling price.

Titanfall is arguably the most anticipated game to hit store shelves since the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 launched. The game is the first launch from Respawn Entertainment, which was founded by Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella. The first-person shooter is being published by Electronic Arts exclusively for Microsoft, and will launch on Windows and Xbox ONe on March 11. It'll make its way to the Xbox 360 on March 25.
Today's news follows comments made recently by Respawn, assuring gamers that the team is doing everything it can to ensure that there shouldn't be any launch-day issues with online gaming for the title. The game's lead engineer, Jon Shiring, told Polygon recently that the game was able to handle 2 million players in its online beta.
Titanfall special edition bundle preorders are already kicking off at the Microsoft Store and Amazon. Major Nelson says supplies are limited, so interested gamers might want to move quickly.
