Twitter launches scheduled tweets for its ad products, lets advertisers pick date and time for tweets up to an year in advance.

Twitter has updated its advertising tools and is now is enabling advertisers to schedule and publish tweets directly from Twitter. The Tweets are available to advertisers in all supported languages.

Twitter stated in a blog post, that now any marketer using Twitter's Ad Products can schedule and publish their own tweets for up to one year in advance. The new tool will help target a specific audience via promoted tweets and will also let advertisers send non-promoted tweets to a brand's followers. Marketers will be able to manage all of their scheduled tweets and Twitter cards directly from the ads.twitter.com dashboard, and tweets can be scheduled for every minute.

Scheduled tweets can be created and scheduled from the blue Tweet button on the top right corner of ads.twitter's navigation bar. Twitter is also planning to introduce a new Creatives tab for advertisers to create and manage both scheduled tweets and Twitter Cards in one place.

Twitter states in a blog post: "With scheduled Tweets, you can publish content at any time without having staff on-call to Tweet on evenings, weekends, holidays, or other inconvenient times. Advertisers also gain the flexibility to plan content in advance for events like premieres and product releases."

This move comes at a time when the company is planning an IPO and the move will please its advertisers. Previously, advertisers had to use a third-party social media management tools like Hootsuite or SocialFlow to schedule a tweet. The new set of tools will bring more advertising dollars directly to Twitter instead of third parties benefiting from Twitter's API.
